This notice describes the information used by the Save My Tape website and when you contact us about digitizing your tapes.
The estimate calculator
Your calculator answers are processed in your browser. They are not submitted to us, saved in a website account, or stored in cookies or local storage. You do not need to enter your name, phone number, email address, or payment details to get an estimate.
“Copy estimate” uses your browser's clipboard feature. “Download as text” saves a file on your device. “Email this estimate” opens your email app with the details; it does not send the message automatically. Review the content before sending.
When you email us
If you send an inquiry, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use that information to respond, discuss your tapes, coordinate appointments or shipping, and provide the service you request. Messages to our project email may be forwarded to the owner's main inbox for handling.
Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry. Ask us before emailing recordings or material that contains private information about other people.
Hosting and website traffic
This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses, requested pages, and access times, to operate and secure the site. Email and hosting providers process information as part of delivering their services.
Your digitized videos
Digital videos are delivered through a private download, with an optional USB copy. We discuss delivery details and the download availability period with your order. Download your files promptly and keep your own backup. Anyone you share a download link with may be able to access those files.

Email hello@savemytape.com if you have a privacy question or want to ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have sent us. We will review the request and explain any information that must be retained for an existing order or recordkeeping obligation.
